The Ridiculous Statement: Racial Profiling and Illegal Immigrants

If the predominant race of illegal immigrants in Arizona is Mexican, why is it profiling to predominantly stop or go to areas where those who one "reasonably" suspect may be populated with illegal aliens.

If the law is looking for a white male 6'2 165lbs driving a blue Chevy Truck, law enforcement will typically stop people meeting that description. They will not stop black, mexican, asian men, they will stop white men. The whole logic of applying the words "Racial Profiling" to the illegal immigrant situation is flawed in it's fundamental logic. Getting back to the example, most white men that were stopped I am sure would not be offended, because they would understand that the law is looking to apprehend a particular person and they would be able to see how their physical characteristics met those criteria. The understanding would be in knowing what they (the police) are attempting to accomplish.

The families who have protected illegal arrivals or in fact have worked actively to bring it about in this country may emotionally feel upset that the situation is being worked, but the fundamental principle is that to live in this country it must be done through legal and just channels. There is a process and that process needs to be followed.
